With a decade in capability acquisition roles, including as a founding member and then Head of the Royal Air Force’s Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO), Jez Holmes brings a wealth of experience to Raven Innovation. Jez's expertise spans global strategic programs to supporting start-ups with sponsorship and mentoring.

Extensive Network and Expertise

He has an extensive network across UK and international militaries, governments and the Defence Industrial sector. A regular speaker at global events, Jez has seen a large number of pitches, demos, experiments, and trials and has a thorough understanding of the acquisition process.

As the architect of Team Tempest, a £3bn multi-party government/industry R&D collaboration for the Future Combat Air System, he has delivered extensive R&D investment portfolios and enacted complex tech investment decision processes.

As Head of the RCO, he led initiatives in the development of technologies such as data fabrics with associated AI, drone and UAV technology, Open Mission System architectures, and novel sensors.

Jez has always focussed on developing symbiotic relationships between parties and avoiding the transactional behaviour that holds back rapid development and delivery.

He now works with a network of associates covering all domains with diverse specialisations such as warfare officers and weapons/tactics specialists, to aeromed doctors, and can pull together a team that matches your needs to drive strategy and technology for success.
